As architects we are able to take on design work for new commissions for projects of many types including domestic, community and commercial schemes.
Because of our experience in the conservation of historic buildings, and in understanding the significance and importance of historic sites and conservation areas, we have gained a particular reputation for designing developments in historically sensitive contexts and settings.
Such work has ranged from designing extensions to church buildings, supporting the creative reuse and development of historic buildings, and the construction of new buildings in the setting of historic buildings and conservation areas. Our advice is based upon knowledge and experience of the planning and heritage issues, giving honest advice and ensuring realistic expectations. Our historic buildings and sites are a finite resource and it is important that they can be developed and managed in a sustainable way whilst ensuring that their special character is protected.
